I moved blog to the new location, with all the posts and comments, which means, I am disabling comments here, but I’m leaving it online for the sake of old links pointing to this place. I changed the Portfolio design a bit and integrated a blog in there, so all things are in the same place.

So, here is a picture i shot with my EOS 500D and…naah, just kidding. It’s a first 2011 short project, made in a few hours, with (you won’t believe) Cinema 4D and Photoshop. Image is 1920×1200px so it can be nicely used as a desktop wallpaper (right click/save as). Cheers!

Just wrapped up a short weekend project, ident, for the…khm, snow. Used the new c4d soft-bodies, new spring connectors and good old hair dynamics.

Start making something

Couple of days ago i started reading book called Rework, which is great so far. One thing i noticed is that book is packed with cool illustrations by Mike Rohde, and one of the illustrations is a stop sign that says start. Weird yes :)

Anyway I instantly visualized the illustration in 3D, so i took an hour and made it right away.
I think it’s a good habit to start making things as soon as you get the idea, take an hour and start working on it. Usually when you just write it down in your to-do list it never gets done and usually the excitement is never so intense as the first time. So just start and create/design/do stuff already.

New, beta version of our multi & single-player flash gaming portal, Igrajmo.se, is featuring one new multiplayer game called Recycler. As usually i used Cinema 4D to make the game design and here are some images of it:

Project 50

Yesterday i finished project 50, which is taking 50 photos in 50 days with 50mm lens. Each day one photo of course. There were times i enjoyed doing it and times i didn’t want to do it at all, but i managed to finish it with the help of my sister Taja and friend Aleš. Each of us started doing project 50 at the same time. I used Canon’s EOS 500D with Nifty fifty lens ( 50mm f/1.8 II ). It was a great side project, i learned a lot and and i encourage everyone to try it. (or try Project 365 if you are a bit more hardcore than us :) )

Sphere.

Recently i finished new personal project called Sphere. First idea was to do some stuff growing out of a sphere, but then i started adding more stuff and this animation came out in the end. I love the response i got, i posted it on Vimeo 3 days ago and that thing already has more than 3000 views. That is a new high for me :) . If you noticed in my previous blog post there are some small rocks on the ground. Here is an example scene file of how i created them. Instead of cloning bunch of small objects around the surface you can use displacement, which works pretty good until you don’t have to get very close.
