Sometimes you want to add more than one material to Nurbs objects. Like cap or fillet can have different materials when dealing with the Extrude or Sweep objects. So instead of making these objects editable (converting them to polys), you can apply materials to the desired selections by typing in selection name in the material tag.

On the picture bellow you can see some text inside Extrude nurbs object (red) and bellow it you can see the same object converted to polys (blue). As you can see, Cinema automatically breaks Extrude nurbs object into different parts, such as base, roundings and caps which have material selection tags applied to them. If you select one of the tags you can see it’s name in the attribute editor.

Now you can apply material to your Extrude/Sweep… objects and manually enter the selection name in the material tag applied to your object. Although selection on that object does not exist, Cinema knows to which part it must apply the material. Voila!

Typewriter style keyboard, powerful speakers, fan for cooling down user when system crashes, neat webcam and some more stuff i’m planning to make. Progress is slow, since i can barely get myself to do any 3D work at home, because i work with C4D almost everyday at work, and 8 hours of one software is kind of enough for one day :). Here are some work in progress renders, still lots of work to do.
