about My name is Nejc Polovšak, i am 24 years old and i live in Slovenia, EU. Currently i am working as a 3d generalist/animator at thirdframestudios, where i am surrounded with a bunch of developers, so yeah, as you can imagine, it’s not an easy job =).

I made my first steps into 3d somewhere around 2003/2004, when my friend (kudos to JocHaan) introduced  me to this what-the-hell-am-i-supposed-to-do-with-that software called Maya, packed up with gazillion of confusing icons. It was somewhere between releases 4 and 5 i think. Anyhow, i got hooked up instantly and started seeing polygons everywhere i looked. You know, like the Matrix, but with triangles =). Big thanks goes to The Gnomon Workshop for their superb collection of training DVD’s where i picked up almost all of my basic 3d knowledge. I was pretty happy using Maya, until the day i won Cinema 4d in some online competition, and after some time decided to switch to a bit less buggy software (no offense Alias, oh, i mean Autodesk). Well, from time to time i might miss complexity of Mental ray, but that’s another story… :)

I’ve also chewed my way trough a big portion of other packages like PS, AE, Bodypaint, ZBrush, Final Render, PF Track and probably some other stuff that i can’t think of right now. Hopefully i get to do the same stuff in the future and get better and better. Progress is teh win.
